I am completely satisfied with this radio. The case is very solid, auto-tuning is easy to set up, it picks up the weak AM stations better than manual tuning, which isn't always the case, sound is great and battery life looks promising--it hasn't yet dropped below a full-strength level reading so I can't quantify battery life, but I think it will be fine. Without any previous experiance with Sangean, it was hard to distinguish from the various radios offered in the AM/FM/Waterproof group. This one sounded best and I suspect it is. It is, as described in the advertising, bigger than many small AM/FM radios, but the high quality makes it worth it. ENJOY YOURS.

I looked at all the reviews and for the money I chose this one. My only concern in the beginning was if it would get a signal.
I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. All of her favorite stations come in clear.
We live in an earth contact house. There is one station that does not come in and a couple that have a bit of static but are tolerable.
She takes a shower for no less than 30 min. So far, so good.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Excellent sound quality and better reception than more expensive models. And it suffers the indignities of my 3 year old when we forget to put it up high and out of reach. It's a good thing it's frugal with battery consumption as we've found it with the light mysteriously on and the rugrat with a "Who Me" look on his face.
You can hang it on a doorknob or shower rod b/c it allows you to open it up. This is a great radio. We've used it all over the house, not just the bathroom. The sound and reception are clear. The illumintated time and the 2 way handle are great features. It's sturdy and well made. Very happy with the purchase.
